Reviews:
"...each song is a gem. Christine’s enunciation is impeccable, enabling the listener to translate the French verses and follow the lyrics in the well-designed graphic booklet. Moreover, there are enough familiar songs that listeners can maintain interest even if their French is less than minimal. Overall, this is an interesting album that Christine Albert fans are going to like very much. Edith Piaff would like it, too."

A skeptical college guidance counselor once asked me what I planned to do with a major in music and languages. .. "Sing in French?"  Not a bad idea!  This one is for him, wherever he is.  Actually, my French Swiss mother came to the states as a young woman. Growing up I spent many hours sifting around the kitchen listening to her, my aunt and grandmother as French sounds rolled off their tongues.  Gorgeous.   My high school French introduced me to the music of Edith Piaf and I was hooked.   Several trips to Paris over the years to visit my grandmother further embedded the sounds of France in my psyche.  Texas is my home and where my music originates. Thus, TEXAFRANCE blends these two very special influences.  I hope these songs bring you as much pleasure as they have brought to me.   Enjoy!  Christine

THIS IS FOR MOM, ANDREE, AND LILY, OF COURSE.
